Prof. Ron Ofri, DVM, PhD, Ophthalmology specialist (European certificate)
Professor - Ophthalmology
Ron Ofri was a member of the charter class of the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He continued his education at the University of Florida, where he trained in veterinary ophthalmology and obtained his Ph.D. Upon his graduation Ron joined the faculty of his alma mater, where he is currently a Professor in veterinary ophthalmology, winner of numerous Teacher of the Year awards, and author of more than 100 refereed papers. Ron is also a very popular international speaker, having lectured in more than 40 countries, both in national meetings and world congresses including BSAVA, WSAVA, WVC and NAVC. Ron is co-author of the popular textbook Slatter's Fundamentals of Veterinary Ophthalmology (4th , 5th and 6th editions). Ron is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ECVO), and in 2002-2005 he served as President of the European Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology.
Dr. Lionel Sebbag, DVM, PhD, Ophthalmology specialist (American certificate)
Senior Lecturer - Ophthalmology
Dr. Sebbag is a faculty member in the Ophthalmology service at the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He received his DVM from the National Veterinary School of Toulouse (France), completed a rotating internship at Kansas State University before pursuing a 4-year ophthalmology residency at the University of California-Davis. Dr. Sebbag completed a PhD in pharmacology at Iowa State University, before making Aliyah with his family in 2020.
His clinical and research interests include ocular surface diseases and innovations in drug delivery.
Dr. Oren Pe'er, DVM, Ophthalmology specialist (Israeli certificate)
Clinical Faculty - Ophthalmology
Dr. Oren Y. Pe'er is a senior clinician and an eye specialist in the Ophthalmology service at the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Dr. Pe’er graduated (2003) with Dean’s honors the veterinary school in the Faculty of Medicine in Kosice, Slovakia. For 15 years, he worked at a private veterinary clinic in Ramat Gan, Israel where he served as a senior veterinarian and founded/developed their ophthalmology practice. In 2017, Dr. Pe'er was accepted (and pursued) a 4-year ophthalmology residency program in the University veterinary teaching hospital under the hospice/supervision of Prof. Ofri. He passed the Israeli Ophthalmology Specialist exam in 2021.
Dr. Pe’er fields of interest include ophthalmology ER cases, glaucoma and inner eye uveitis
Dr. Dikla Arad, BVSc, PGCert (Ophth), MRCVS
ECVO Resident - Year II
Dr Dikla Arad graduated with distinction from the University of Liverpool in 2015. She continued to work as a general practitioner in small animal practices in Liverpool. In 2017 she worked as a rotating intern in Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Services in England. In August 2018 she joined to ophthalmology service at the veterinary school hospital in Israel as an intern and continued work at the department as a clinician. In 2021 she finished post graduate certificate course of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) in ophthalmology. Dikla is currently an ECVO resident in veterinary ophthalmology at the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Bar Fruchter, DVM

Dr. Bar Fruchter graduated from the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine (Israel) in 2022. After graduation, she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery and is now working towards securing specialty training in ophthalmology.

Orit Ohana
Medical receptionist
Orit Ohana has been a medical receptionist for about 20 years. She has worked in various hospitals and in a geriatric institution. Among her various duties, she checked and approved medical materials for the hospital, gave support to the department's staff, engaged in regular communication with external and internal parties for the patients' families, and participated in monthly inspections of medical services organization.
